Superman - Blue

For most of 1997-1998, Superman existed as a blue and white energy based being with incredible new powers. This mannequin captures that historic moment, when, for the first time, Superman sported a new costume and powers.

This mannequin was built specifically for Tropic Comics in North Miami Beach as a companion piece to the classic Superman mannequin.

Since Superman exists as energy here, I departed from the usual cloth costume format and painted him in stark two tone color (To this end, all joints were puttied and the separate toes were resculpted as boot tips). The only exception is his unclothed face that has subtle airbrushed and shaded blue flesh.
